Sexting in Croydon

Two of our students were involved in an underage sexual act, which was then stored on the male's snap chat account. Another student logged into the account and saw the video and posted it onto the male's profile. This meant this was shown to many students within school.
Our Safer Schools officer came into school and spoke to both students separately and gave advice on how to keep themselves safe, and within the law, given their young ages.
They also advised us on best practice in dealing with such episodes. The Safer schools officer also spoke about the illegal sharing of images which supported awareness.
This meant there were no prosecutions or criminal outcomes, but awareness for both students and the whole student body. This was successful as a lesson was learnt by all.
